AND YES, I'm going to revive my blog from now on and continue from where I left off. I MISS THE BLOGGING WORLD!
Anyway, there's something I would - and MUST- blog about today (I'm gonna get it off my chest!)...
Guess what I received in the mail?
Oooh... Its Reader's Digest, "congratulating" me on being their potential winner of TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS *ka-ching*.... and *drum roll* A BRAND NEW CAR!
I'm rich! I'm rich! *jumps up and down*
And here's a photo of MY car, with my personal chauffeur driving in the front seat :
DUH. (I can't believe you did not sense my sarcasm!)
Come on, you've got to be kidding me. TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS AND A BRAND NEW CAR? Heelloooo? Yeah, dream on. *rolls eyes*
And to think whoever wrote the letter thought he sounded convincing enough. And this person is none other than Mr. Benjamin Soh as stated in the opening letter. (Aww, does this person ever exist?)
I was told that I'm among "the cream who definitely rose to the top", and that "I am among the 1 percent selected for this exclusive offer".
1 percent? Are you surrreee? I've known many people who received the SAME letter as mine! I see, it looks like half of Singapore belongs to that 1 percent. HAHAHA.
Come on, its not the first time I received this kinda letter from Reader's Digest. In fact, this kind of scam tactic has been used since 20 years ago! I am really surprised that not many people bring this matter up and lodge a complaint against them.
I mean, who really WON all those prizes as mentioned in the letter? It was stated that cash prizes and etc were given out... But WHO and WHERE are they? I've tried googling for those lucky chaps, but had gotten zero results.
Right. Honestly, I am disappointed that such a reputable company would stoop so low and resort to such tactics that are equivalent to scamming. Not only does the letter was written in such an unprofessional way, but everything sounds more like a JOKE. I believe many of you have received similar letters before from them and you will get what I mean.
Well, I'm impressed, anyway, about the "authenticity" of the letter-with stampings and markings here and there- and cheques that were presented to me in the envelope. I wonder how much they'd spent in putting all these together. (Not that it's my business anyway. LOL)
P/S: They'd actually sent me another letter, with a key attached that was supposedly "the key to my car". Well, thanks anyway... I guess I'm giving this as a toy for my nephew. He'll like it!
As the old saying goes: "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is".
Yes. Believe that!!

I FELL INTO THE DRAIN TODAY! *wails*
And worse still, many people had witnessed that as I fell helplessly into the deep hole. Just my luck! Damn whoever it was who had left the cover open which caused my fall. It is clearly an inconsiderate act!
I felt a sharp pain emerging when my left leg scratched against the rough surface of the concrete cover. "OH NO, I'm so going to bleed this time," I thought worriedly to myself as I tried to get myself out from the damn hole.
Immediately, I rubbed my wounds when the scratches showed up a minute later. To my amazement when I reached home, the red spots subsided and it became barely noticeable.... AND NOW THEY ARE COMPLETELY GONE! It was just like I never fell! It was really a pleasant surprise for me and I am really glad to whoever/whichever it was who had blessed me. Judging from the pain and heavy fall, it was really amazing... ... o_o Well, but I learned a lesson this time round - that is to look carefully before taking my steps.
==========================================
Well, one thing to look forward to at the current moment - is the Malaysia trip with my parents and best friends! (Yun, Ling and Wen) :) Hope it will be a fun one!
I won't be blogging really much as I am training hard for the upcoming auditions... Please wish me luck! :)
