tweet tweet...
With the $8 promotion Kbox was having, I immediately grabbed hold of ah zhai and ah miao for a singing session together yesterday. Muwahaha. We had fun, of course. :D

Well, I have a feeling I'm gonna neglect my studies if I carry on getting myself involved in external activities everyday. I must do something about this man! (like seriously!) I should have learned my lesson by now as I simply cannot afford to repeat any module(s) anymore, especially when I am a transfer student.

Anyway, I received a casting call today and Carrot accompanied me all the way there after work. I'm really grateful! Thank you... :) Ah, though the casting was kinda awkward in a way, but I hope I will be one of the selected ones! (well, who doesn't?!!) Heehee.

OH, and if anyone loves me, just follow me on Twitter: http://twitter.com/sgcomplainqueen

I know.. I know...So stop laughing at my Twitter nick!

Gonna wake up early tomorrow to attend a talk by Anthony Png at Music Story. Whee~ Toodles!

Make me babies!
I tried makemebabies.com and the results are hilarious! The virtual tool allows you to "make" babies with any celebrity according to your facial features. (And I had so much fun with it that I made a lot of babies using that application.)
Cool right?!
Let me show you some of the somewhat not-so-satisfying-but-am-okay-with-it results of MY BABIES: (lol)

With SIMON COWELL (Hahaha!!!): -I name the baby SIMONIAC.

With Michael Jackson -I name the baby MILO.

And last but not least, OBAMA! (I name the baby Obiang!)

LOL, no offence intended. Its all for entertainment purpose only! So, which baby do you think is the cutest of all?! (Personally, I like Simoniac!) HAHAHA.

Screw you, scammers!
Out of boredom, I recorded this (sang it myself in acapella version. LOL) - The self-proclaimed "CHIPMUNK" version of my current blog song! Hahaha. To listen, just pause my blog music! Okay, it may sound irritating to you... But WHO CARES?! =P

Virtual Make-up =Fun
I came across a really cool online virtual make-up website, and I could actually "doll" myself up with some readily virtual tools. LOL.
I kind of like that "bling bling" hairpin on my hair! Where can I buy it? Hahaha. It's a pity its fake!

*Actually I had put on REAL make-up, but I further enhanced the make-up using the virtual tool.*
Hope the result isn't scary! (I think the eyeliner is a tad too heavy) But well, its fake anyway!:p

My Beauty Diary
Well, its no secret that I have been using these for quite some time (and AM LOVING IT!)
Yes, its the My Beauty Diary Masks (Or 我的美麗日記 ) as you call it.

Ever since my sis bought some of them for my mum as Mother's day gift last year, I fell in love with them. And most interestingly though, I am not the kind of person who has the habit of using facial masks. BUT My Beauty Diary Masks totally rock! Not only are they effective, you'll be VERY surprised to see that your skin feels as smooth as that of a baby's.

What's best about them is that they do come in many different kind of flavors! (And each flavor comes with different "functions" to suit your skins. Some are specially made for whitening, anti-aging, closure of pores, etc.)

My personal all-time favorite is the Black Pearl, in which I am really satisfied with. (Basically cos' its specially made for whitening!) :D

I guess the most amazing thing about the Beauty Diary Masks is their ability to make your pimples/acnes less obvious after using it. (Yes, you may be able to see results the next day!) I was surprised too myself when I started using it... And its one of my main reasons why I love it so much!

Personally, I have tried Q10, white pearl, black pearl, red wine, green apple, yogurt flavors! And thanks to my sis who just gave me another set of flavors (cherries, nato etc) from her HK trip!

And no, don't be mistaken. I am not paid to advertise for them or anything. Its just something good I thought I would share with everyone! (Like I always say, "Good things must share share"! :p)

Wedding-ding-ding!
Met up with Desiree yesterday to collect my "uniquely-designed" choker and some shopping for rhinestones!

Check out my choker! I designed it, and Des made it for me! Thank you, Des! :) Its so nice to see my design turning into reality because of your help!

*Ignore my loose hair strands. Anyway, the main FOCUS is on the choker, not my hair! Period.*

Nice or not!! Haha, I got inspired after browsing at some chokers on eBay.

Anyway, I would like to apologize to Des because I had actually mixed up her birth date (which I thought was in July! Darn it, why am I always thinking that my friends' birthdays are in July?!?! )! Give me a chance to make it up next week, Des! Let's go out and celebrate! *smiles*

And yesterday was a rush for me as I had to go back and attend a relative's wedding dinner, which is located at Hilton Hotel. Quickly, I went back to try out an inspired eye-makeup which Wen had shown me via video the day before for the dinner. (I am into trying different kinds of make-up now! Its pretty interesting~~ Hee.)

THE EYE: (Oops, the flash was too bright!)

Pretty Gera had given me a new eyeshadow yesterday. Am going to try it out soon when I get the chance to! Thanks, Gera love! Hee~

Well, back to the wedding dinner~ There's a full-length mirror which I was so impressed with and I immediately cam-whored. (I was wearing my favorite military-inspired dress which I bought in my Thailand trip. Hee.)

The food at Hilton's was alright, and I really like the concept of the color-changing balls which were "served" on the plates, together with the dishes.

Green

Pink

I was so instantly mesmerized by the ball that I took it and held it in my hand when the waiter went away. :D I even had the tendency to bring it home, but I'm sure they wouldn't allow it :(

AND... AND... AND...

Guess what?! I witnessed something incredible which left me amused. It was this 3-year-old little girl (my relative's child), who doesn't behave like a KID at all!
I snapped photos of her while she wasn't looking:

*Look at the way she was holding the camera. AND ITS A REAL CAMERA, not a TOY!*)

.
.
.
.

AND the way she's aiming the camera in my direction:

AND next, checking out the photos she just snapped: (She was so engrossed and looked so professional when snapping the pictures!)

Can you believe that?! I'm really amazed, judging that she is just 3-year-old! GOSH. I'm sure this young kid will have a bright future ahead of her~ Haha.
.
.
.
Alright, I'm ending this entry fast as school is reopening tomorrow! (I hope its gonna be an exciting one!)

*This is really a very rare photo that's probably worth a million dollars. You won't see me smiling like that in 99% of my photos! HAHAHA*

Last day of work... ...
Today is my official last day of work as school will be reopening on Monday...
As usual, I arrived at my workplace today, and found myself greeted with something unusual in the cupboard which I'll open every morning.
Taking it out, I realized that it is a token from my supervisor. Aww... I was really touched by the action. :-) Thank you so much... It has always been a pleasure working with the company with all the lovely people around.

Nonetheless, I'm looking ahead to a brand new semester that begins on Monday. And Ah Zhai will be in the same class as me for 2 modules! Whee~ Hehe.
Hopefully everything will go smoothly for us!

P/S: I'm finally going to collect my Moonwalker DVD from the school library (after waiting for what seems to be centuries! HAHAHA.) :-D

We are not scapegoats!
Boy, oh boy, am I pissed!
Just so you know, it has been some time since I'm working as a receptionist... and it was just recently that I encountered a truly unreasonable spoilt brat customer, whom obviously does not know what is BASIC MANNERS.

Come on, receptionists are also humans.. but we seem to get blamed for stuff which are NOT even under our area of responsibilities.

And this freaking woman (whom I believe she is having PMS 24/7), never fails to get on my nerves whenever I receive her calls.

The scenario goes like this: (everytime)

*X is the sales personnel she is always asking for*

Me: "Good afternoon. XX company."
Her: "X around or not?" (Sheesh. Look at that- she doesn't even have the basic courtesy to GREET!)

Me: "hold on a moment..."

*transfers the call to X*

... X missed her call as she was busy talking on the phone to some other people..

and within a minute, the freaking woman called back again when she realized she couldn't reach her.

And guess what?

She seemed to hold me responsible for putting her on hold when X missed her calls! Hello, its not beyond my control if X is busy/not around right?! Furthermore, I have a workspace to my own, and I can't even see whether the staff is at their desks or not

AND MY JOB IS TO HANDLE AND TRANSFER THE CALLS ONLY, whether or not the person picks up is NONE OF MY BUSINESS. Period.

Why am I the scapegoat for their absence? They could have went to the toilet at the exact moment you called, and the one to receive the blame for the missed calls is me! Does that even sound logical? Lol!

and that woman even had the cheek to ask me WHY X DID NOT PICK UP HER CALL!

**I explained to her that X was busy/on the line earlier, and she gave me a dead, long silence. "Ask her to call me back!" -HUNG UP-**

(#)*$&#)*$#$ What's with this attitude when I don't even owe her anything?!)

Honestly, people like this completely spoils my day. If not for the company's reputation I'm trying to maintain, I would've argued back. (or scratch her in the face if she's right in front of me.)

P/S: Fortunately, X seems to know about this today and had told that freaking woman not to scold us anymore. Yes, thank you for the Justice.

Friends
There is no doubt we live in a superficial world.

It's time to appreciate who you real/true friends are. Fake, wacko and hypocritical friends are not a necessity, thank you.

Am I really someone who looks as though I'm easily taken advantage of? Am I really someone who is just a nobody in your life, one whom you can take for granted?

Well, if your answer is YES to any of the above, SCREW you.

Obviously you don't know me well enough to judge me.

I've enough of people who get close to me with hidden motives, and acting as though they care.

ALL BECAUSE THEY WANT SOMETHING OUT OF ME.

And when they successfully do, I'll be like a garbage casted aside.

BUT you know what? I'm good at feigning ignorance. So there.

My fruitful weekend!
I had a blast this weekend! :-)

On Saturday, I met up with Sin Jie and Alina for a GIRL'S DAY OUT a.k.a shopping. (LOL) It has been quite some time since we last met, and boy, it was fun going out with them. :p
Its saddening that we won't be in the same class anymore when school reopens, and I will definitely miss them... ...

(And yes, I re-permed my hair again and cut off my long fringe - Finally! Thanks to Gera, my beautiful hairstylist friend, for "sacrificing" her morning to help me do my hair! Do visit her at: www.gera-magicroom.blogspot.com if you need any hairstyling or beauty services! ;-))

Eh, Gera... See? I'm such a good friend to help you advertise! Hahaha.

Want to see my so-called "new look"? You'll see it in the later part of this entry! Just be patient. Duh!

---------------------------------------------------------

Anyway, I finally met up with my MJ family yesterday (Sunday) for a bowling event. I salute Marie and Sal for being such good sports as they came completely dressed up in MJ's outfits! Honestly, you should take a look at them... They really amaze me to the max, especially when majority of the outfits are D-I-Yed by themselves. Kudos for the creativity!

And HERE are the pictures....(Majority of them are already uploaded in FB.)

Me with the lovely darlings, with a "MJ" with us. (MJ as in "Marie" Jackson") LOL.

And I took this shot when Marie was walking towards the bowling lane. Nice, right??! I really love the backview. Hahaha.

And we desperately wanted her to strike a "MJ" pose later on:

Me with beautiful Natasha: (Pardon me, I look kinda weird here. Hahaha.)

A photo of my hand wearing the GLOVE. HAHA. Can you believe this fully-sequined glove is made by Marie HERSELF?! Gosh, it is so nicely sewn and beautifully detailed. (Psst, it really sparkles! Hahaha.)

And I tried to take a self-proclaimed "artistic" shot of the glove. =_= Nice or not!! Well, I was just too bored. LOL.

Well, other than just bowling, we had an important task too... Its something each and every one of us MJ fans had been looking forward to... ...

Which is to SIGN our autographs on the Justice4Michael flag ! (And yes, our flag gets to represent Singapore, along with the rest of the countries! :-) Do visit www.justice4michaeljackson.com if you would like to know more.

Upon the full collection of our autographs, the flag will be shipped over and placed at Forest Lawn (Michael's resting place).

Well, of course... all this wouldn't have been possible without Marie's mega help! Thank you, Marie... (If you are reading this!) :) I'm sure all of us really do appreciate everything you've done. L-O-V-E. :)

A photo of Stella signing it: (You can see my signature in this pic! Haha.)

And our "MJ" acting as though she were signing it. LOL .

After our "autograph session", we headed to a place near Esplanade and took photos with our signed flag. Unfortunately, my camera wasn't really good enough to take a clear shot under the dark night sky. (Thanks to Natalie for helping to adjust the camera settings and taking some shots for us!)

Well, this below picture is believed to be a candid shot! Haha. Looks like we weren't really prepared.

Now, a better and more "complete" shot of us holding the flag together. Say YAY. Lol.

And guess what?! We managed to bump into some other MJ fans while we were taking this photo! One of them came over while we were there and requested to take a photograph with Marie. His opening line was hilarious.

Him: *coming over with a camera in his hand* " Eh, Michael Jackson, can I take a photo with you?"

Marie: *turned around with a stumped look on her face* Okay! (LOL!)

And they signed on our flag, too! :-)

(Hmm.. Actually this guy is not bad-looking! Hahaha)

Good night, people!

Well, that's about it for my weekend! :-) Looking forward to future events with them! :)

Good night, people! LOL.

BABY VIC!
Introducing you... My niece, Victoria!
Isn't she simply tooooo adorable??!! Look at that eyes which appear to be smiling too! Haha. I always get cheered up when I see this picture.

P/S: I realized she has got a dimple! Woots! Thank you, sis, for enabling me the chance to have such a cute niece. Hehehe. *thick-skinned*

Fined for eating sweets in MRT?
I came across this video in Youtube by random chance... ...

After watching this, I really feel ()#$*)(#*)$. That must be one of the most UNREASONABLE "rules" I have ever heard!
It is really true regarding the necessity to have a sweet for motion sickness cases. (Come on, I was a victim of motion sickness myself for half of my life!) And its really disheartening to see that SMRT are actually imposing fines on people just because of A SWEET, be it motion sickness or not.
Well, its really ridiculous (in my opinion) about their refusal and stubbornness to SEE and understand from a passenger's point of view.

So you'd rather want a vomiting and sick passenger? Well, there are ways to prevent this and sucking on sweets is one of the ways! I just couldn't understand why they wouldn't approve it especially when it concerns a person's health. (It doesn't even dirty the trains!)

Sheesh. *shakes head* That woman in the video got fined just because she has motion sickness, something that she couldn't help, too. Its like asking her and the rest of the victims like me to PAY for having poor healths. This is soooo undeserving.

Duh, whoever "invented" this sickening rule?

KSS audition
My school result slip came a few days ago, and I'm so glad that I managed to get an "A" for one of my modules! WOOHOO!
Honestly, I've never gotten any "A" before since the day I stepped into Poly. (Yes, that includes the period when I was still in design course.) Its considered a small breakthrough for me! Thank God! :)

Anyway, I attended the KSS 2010 audition yesterday... AND GOSH, I was soooo nervous! The good thing about it is that all of the contestants were to sing in acapella format (without any background music or vocals). I've always loved acapellas as there's no need to worry about wrong timings, keys and etc.
And guess what? Its the first time I chose an english song! (And its Michael Jackson's song somemore. I must be out of my mind, but who cares! LOL) There were many things to worry about for a first time though. =\

The thing I've always hated about auditions is the tense atmosphere upon entrance into the room. The waiting time to go INTO that room is even worse than that. Imagine walking in and facing several unfamiliar-faced judges as they fix their eyes on you, waiting for you to begin your introduction and such. (And if one is unlucky, he/she may come across stern-looking judge(s), which adds on more stress than you already have. Unfortunately, that is one thing I have to overcome, and I will always try my best to (despite my stage fright. )

Fortunately though, the judges from the KSS audition yesterday were quite friendly, and I made my introduction quickly.

And guess what happened next?

My pitching went off instantly when I started opening my mouth to sing. =_=" And it was only the FIRST WORD! (Come on, the nervousness is really beyond imagination.) Embarrassed, I apologized and requested to start again.
Fortunately, I did not screw up on the second attempt. (Well, almost screwed up at some parts, but I unscrewed it. LOL) I tried to focus on my singing and managed to "survive" through it... But deep down, I was feeling VERY disappointed because I knew I could've done better than that. (Its true that your voice will go auto-pilot during audition time. It felt as though my voice wasn't attached to my body at all. The pitch will go haywire by itself, and its damn irritating! Grr...)

When it was time for me to be graded by the 3 judges, I was relieved that they gave me a passing grade (woo!) despite my nervousness and all that. I am contented though, regardless of whether I'll get in to the next round or not. At least, I know I've tried and there'll be no regrets.
In fact, I will still continue to work hard on overcoming my nervousness and stage fright. (Yeah, some people just don't believe I have stage fright. The truth is, I do have, but its selective stage fright. I've realized I only have stage fright for singing. Weird huh?)

One of the judges commented that my dressing style is like MJ's, with two shoulder pads. @_@ I told her it was just a coincidence. (I have no means of copying his style! Hahaha)

Ahh, enough of that. Here comes my cam-whoring shots taken from yesterday (woohoo)

(I was holding this M&M lip gloss, given by Pitrra from Canada. It really smells like CHOCOLATE! I wonder if I'll eat it up when I use it someday. Haha. Thank you for the lovely gifts, Pit! I love them all!)

And Doraemon sweets from Japan! (Thanks, Pit! Its sooo adorable that I couldn't bear to eat it till now. :)) I don't want to eat Doraemon up! AAAH!. LOL.

Okay, byeee... =p

P/S: School is reopening in just 2 weeks' time. =_= I'm looking forward yet dreading it at the same time. Sheesh.

Blogging from my phone
Hello, I'm doing a test-out and blogging through my phone! wahaha.. the advancement of technology now...

R-E-S-P-E-C-T.
Before you begin reading this entry, please do understand that it is not an attempt to offend or disrespect ANYONE in ANY way. Instead, it's an attempt to make YOU see how PATHETIC and IGNORANT some people are, supporting racism and rambling negative stuff about other races.

Honestly, it is VERY annoying to tease and make fun of other races just because they have a DIFFERENT skin color from you.

Black... Or... White?

The point is, it doesn't matter.

What's with racism jokes about indians? Banglas? Aren't they humans, too, like you and me? Why are so many people against them?!!

In fact, many have dismissed the fact that Banglas actually made- and still is- making massive contributions to our society. Tell me, who are the ones building the houses of today? Who are the ones working doubly hard to toil the soils and handle all those filthy work that YOU supposedly "high-class" people won't even want to give a damn about? There's no denial about the fact that many of us have overlooked their contributions to our modern society. And instead of appreciating them, people choose to attack them - in a verbal way through the creation of racism jokes. Like I'd said, they are humans, and THEY DO HAVE FEELINGS, too. Anyone wouldn't like it if one were to put himself/herself in the shoes of a bangla.

Before you start looking down on them and forward racism jokes to your friends, please think twice about how much you understand them and their culture. It really isn't easy having to leave their hometowns, parting with families and friends, and to an unfamiliar place just to EARN a living. (Are you able to go through what they are going through?!!) In fact, its very saddening to see that they are actually working doubly hard (and under harsh conditions) with LONGER hours than most people, and yet they receive meagre pay despite all the shit they are going through. In addition, they have to put up with stares and racism remarks from others.

Come on, they deserve and need RESPECT. At the very least, give them the basic respect as a human. I believe they aren't born just to be mocked and looked down upon. They didn't choose WHAT or WHO they want to be. Do you think they have a choice? You may think mocking about their dark skin color is merely a joke, but you'll never understand how much of a damage it may cause on their ego and feelings.

Granted that some of you may have unpleasant encounters with them, but it's not right to stereotype! One bad egg doesn't mean the rest are all bad... Get what I mean?

I am not saying all these because I love them or whatever reason(s) you may think, but I am just trying to bring my point across because I think they deserve much more than that. They deserve what we call "EQUALITY".

Sometimes, it isn't just about races, but how much of R-E-S-P-E-C-T you are willing to give them.

Genting-KL trip with my 4 best friends
One fine day, Ling called me and mentioned about a Genting trip. (She had been craving for this since a long time ago! LOL.)
Well, as easy as that - we went, together with Yun, Wen and both of my parents.

(Photos in courtesy of Wen.)

Well, here are some shots taken during our looooong bus journey... Seriously, I don't remember this shot being taken! Shucks, it looks kinda unglamorous since I had just slept and woke up, I think? *__*

And this is a completely random photo, with Ling holding on to Wen's little pig soft toy which she had brought along.

Well, since there's nothing much to talk about regarding our 5 hours +++ bus journey (as we were all sleeping most of the time =_=), I shall just skip to our first stop... Genting!

My dad took us on a cable car ride, and both WEN AND I HAD A FUN TIME SCREAMING AND SHOUTING at all the passing cable cars. LOL. The reactions from the people seated in the cable cars tickled me. Some responded to us by waving back, but some just looked back-apparently startled.
Well, I was friendly enough to shout and wave a loud "Hello" to everyone. They should have at least appreciated my warm gesture! LOL. But it was fun though.

Of course, how could we forget the famous Theme Park since we were there? (There were 2 theme parks, and we chose the outdoor's as Yun and Ling complained that the indoor one is more for kids. @_@)

And here's our tickets in the form of wristbands! Guess which hand belongs to mine? (Hint: I'm the odd one out.) LOL.

LOOK what we spotted in one of the stations of the Theme Park. Two gigantic monstrous ladybirds threatening to gobble us up. *shivers*

Lol. Just kidding. It was just a zoomed-in picture of the props inside the little chocolate house. (I forgot the exact name of it, but it was a "house" filled with "chocolatey" props.) =_=

And here's another... soft creamy milk chocolate "pouring" out before your eyes.:

While I was looking around, Wen attempted to take a snapshot of me. I was fast enough to duck that shot. HAHA.

Unfortunately, we did not take much pictures from the Outdoor Theme Park itself as we were busy screaming our heads off on the roller-coaster rides, etc. Both Yun and Ling complained that they almost had a heart attack trying on those scary rides. Haha.

Well, I am usually not those type that are keen in these kinda stuff (Come on, I have a phobia of heights! AND THAT'S NOT A SECRET BECAUSE I REALLY AM AFRAID OF HEIGHTS. *cries*)
Anyway, I braced myself and yelled my guts out in one of the "seemingly harmless dragon roller-coaster ride". I mean, it really looks like a ride made for kids... and I actually thought nothing of it! (Yun and Ling were smart enough to refuse to get onto the ride. Eventually, there were only my dad, Wen and myself going up for it.)

Until I got onto the ride...

"FREAK! SHIT YOU! AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!"

My screams were everywhere as the roller-coaster swayed up and down, then to the side...jerking here and there.... and Yun and Ling told me later on that they could hear me even from a distance. Oh my. It looks like my screams covered half of the theme park. Yikes. SO EMBARRASSING. BUT IT WAS A THRILLER! Hahaha.

After our thrills, we proceeded to the indoor theme park, in which I made my dad pay to visit a "haunted house". Well, YUN and LING refused to go in with us. SHEESH. Not sporting at all! =p
But we went in anyway without them. I'd missed Halloween last year, and I'm going to compensate that!

Well, they are professional enough to hire real actors to scare the wits out of people. This skeleton-looking creature is actually a real human in disguise. (I was still wondering if he's just an automated mannequin or real person earlier. LOL) And he was actually standing on top of a roof!
I'll bet he is one funny guy. I attempted to scare him back by aiming a paper-roll at him, making him think I was actually throwing something at him. Well, let's see who's scarier. LOL.

When we left, I bid goodbye to him and he waved back. What a nice skeleton. I think I am starting to miss him now. HAHAHA.

Ahhh... That's about all for our Genting trip. The rest were just eating, chatting, sleeping and PLAYING UNO in our hotel rooms.

And before I end off this entry... here is Xiao Bao, my teddy. A random shot taken by Wen in the hotel. Simply adorable, right?!?!?!??! LOL.

P/S: *an inside joke* To Wen, Yun and Ling: GE HOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GONG GONG GONG!
